My name is Danielle Koepke, and I am a Teaching Assistant Professor at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. As a community-engaged researcher and writer, I seek ways to utilize my skills, resources, and expertise to support local community health initiatives, especially those related to reproductive justice. My areas of expertise are digital storytelling, community health, and information literacy and my formal research studies include the rhetorics of reproductive justice, feminist and queer studies, and cultural rhetorics. In my research and writing, I focus on the development of research practices and information literacy practices that nurture more ethical and care-full engagement with marginalized stories of reproductive [in]justice so that the embodied experiences of storytellers are valued and honored. This is especially important for projects being shared on social media and in other digital spaces.

I draw on these ideas in my teaching, seeking to deepen college students' critical thinking skills, communication abilities, and [digital] information literacy. Over the last eight years, I have taught a variety of university courses across modalities: in person, hybrid, online synchronously, and online asynchronously.
I also enjoy collaborating on content creation and social media strategy outside of (or adjacent to) academia. My current collaboration is with Confianza Collective, a virtual storywork studio based in Milwaukee, WI.
